We took Mud Lane as a shortcut from the Waipio Velley Lookout back to Waimea. The road is bad shape in a lot of places but the forest around us was picture perfect and worth the trip. I felt like we were driving through the Forest Moon of Endor. Everything smelled fresh and clean too.
